The state Attorney General's office says it will be at least another month before the Kent County grand jury hears the case against Loyer Braden, the man charged in the September shooting at Delaware State University.

The case was scheduled to go to the grand jury Monday, but prosecutors wanted to wait until the police investigation is complete.

The grand jury meets on the first Monday of each month.

Braden is currently charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm during a felony. The shooting wounded two students, one of whom died after Braden was charged. Prosecutors are considering filing additional charges.

Police believe the victims were shot while they were with another student with whom Braden had earlier disputes.
