The UNIVERSITY OF UTAH has received software valued at $21.2 MILLION from Landmark, a product service line of Halliburton’s Drilling and Evaluation Division. Students and researchers will use the software to increase efficiency in finding oil and gas resources.
VIRGINIA STATE UNIVERSITY has received a $4 MILLION grant from the National Institutes of Health to support a Research Infrastructure in Minority Institutions program. The goals of the program are to reduce health disparities among minority groups.
WELLESLEY COLLEGE (MASS.) has received a $150,000 grant from the Sherman Fairchild Foundation’s Summer Stipend Program in the Sciences. The grant will go to support 30summer research positions that will enable students to engage in scientific research.
