The UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS has received a $700,000 donation from the Wal-Mart Foundation. The funds will be used to create a curriculum that will enhance Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s homework tutorial program “Power Hour.”
The UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE has received a $25 MILLION gift from alumnus and entrepreneur Peter Paul to help fund the construction of a new business college at the university; it is the single largest gift in the school’s history.
The UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA has received a $50 MILLION gift from the founder of the Nine West women’s shoe company, Jerome Fisher. The Penn alumnus and his wife, Anne, donated the funds to help build a biomedical research facility on the university’s campus in West Philadelphia.
