SOUTH TEXAS COLLEGE’s Students in Free Enterprise Team has received a $5,000 grant from CitiFinancial awards to fund community financial and business education projects.

ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY (N.Y.) has received a $1 MILLION gift from actor Kirk Douglas and his wife Ann. The funds will help minority students attend St. Lawrence through the Kirk Douglas Scholarship Fund. Douglas, an alumnus of the university, established the scholarship fund in 1999 with a $1 million gift.

 The UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA has received a grant of over $1 MILLION from the National Science Foundation to “step up” the university’s efforts to recruit, educate and retain students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines.
