Professional Appointments

DR. LOUIS MENDOZA is associate vice provost for equity and diversity at the University of Minnesota. Formerly he served as an associate professor at the university. Mendoza earned a bachelor’s from the University of Houston and a master’s and doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin.

CIGDEM DELANO has been named chief information officer at Morehouse School of Medicine. Most recently Delano served as president of B.I.T. Synergies LLC in Atlanta. Delano earned a bachelor’s from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

DR. GERALD C. GONSALVES is chair of the department of business administration at South Carolina State University. Gonsalves earned a bachelor’s from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India, a master’s from the University of Louisville, an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati and a doctorate from the University of Kentucky.

DR. SHARON A. JONES is director of the engineering division at Lafayette College (Pa.). Previously she served as a professor of civil and environmental engineering and former chair of engineering studies. Jones earned a bachelor’s from Columbia University, a master’s from the University of Florida and a doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University.

DR. ANAHID KULWICKI has been appointed director of the nursing graduate program and the nursing Ph.D. program at Florida International University. Formerly she served as a tenured full professor at Oakland University in Michigan. She earned a bachelor’s from the American University in Lebanon and a master’s and doctorate from Indiana University.

MAURICE MCCLONEY has been named director of development and major gifts at Huston-Tillotson University (Texas). Formerly he served as an account director for the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau. McCloney earned a bachelor’s from Lamar University.

 

 

DR. LADELLE OLION is dean of graduate studies and sponsored research at Fayetteville State University (N.C.). Previously he served as a professor of special education at the university. Olion earned a bachelor’s and master’s from Southern Illinois University and a doctorate from the University of Connecticut.

MICHAEL PEEL has been named vice president for human resources and administration at Yale University (Conn.). Previously he served as executive vice president of General Mills, Inc. Peel received a bachelor’s from James Madison University and an MBA from Columbia University.

JENNIFER WIDER has been appointed vice president of development at the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Previously she served as national director of corporate relations for the United Negro College Fund. Wider earned a bachelor’s from Syracuse University.
