The UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT EL PASO has been awarded $1.6 MILLION from the Center for Defense Systems Research to bring together expertise and research capabilities from colleges and universities throughout the country to focus on long-term solutions to border security and immigration challenges.
The UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA has received a $275,000 grant from the National Institute for Mental Health to evaluate resources for children who have had one parent murder the other parent. Researchers will look for 100 adults who are the guardians of children of domestic homicide.
