Professional Appointments

DR. DARYLL J. PINES is dean of the A. James Clark School of Engineering and the Nariman Farvardin Professor of Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. Pines previously served as chair of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the college. He holds a bachelor’s from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s and doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

SHARON T. DAVIS has been named associate vice president of academic affairs at Bristol Community College (Mass.). Formerly, she served as the assistant vice president of academic affairs at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC). Davis earned an associate degree from BCCC, a bachelor’s, MBA and master’s from the University of Maryland University College.

DR. MARILYN JOHNSON has been named vice president for institutional advancement at California Baptist University. She previously served as vice president of institutional advancement for Nova Southeastern University. She earned a bachelor’s from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, a master’s from San Diego State University and a doctorate from NSU.

GEORGE MCCORMICK is coordinator of graduate recruitment at North Carolina A&T State University. He previously served as associate director in the university’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions. McCormick earned a bachelor’s from N.C. A&T State.
