UNC Board of Governors Member Establishes Endowed Scholarship at FSU

William Webb, a member of the University of North Carolina Board of Governors, has established an endowed scholarship totaling $50,000 at Fayetteville State University (FSU) to support students who have served in the United States military.

Students of all classifications from any geographical region who have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and have served in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, without regard to character of their discharge, are eligible for the Ronald B. Lewis Endowed Scholarship, according to FSU.

“I am pleased and honored to establish this scholarship in support of the many men and women who served in this country’s armed forces,” said Webb. “This is my way of thanking them for their unselfish service, and it also allows me to pay homage to a childhood friend, Ronald B. Lewis, who served his country with pride and dignity.”
