Kennesaw State U to open ‘green’ dining hall

Kennesaw State University is opening its new “green” dining hall this week, complete with composting, recycling and locally grown produce. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the university is set to cut the ribbon on the new facility Thursday morning, a week before classes begin for the fall semester Aug. 15. The 54,000-square-foot dining hall will feature vegan and gluten-free food, compostable paper products, an onsite herb garden and a trayless cafeteria to help conserve water.
