Community College Launches Seven Campus Locations

by Diverse Staff , August 26, 2009

The College of Western Idaho, the state’s newest community college, has launched seven campus locations.  Bert Glandon, president of the college, said each of the southwestern Idaho locations will offer something different, allowing students to study subjects ranging from horticulture to truck driving.  According to KPAX.com, school officials expect student enrollment for next spring semester to triple compared to this year, attributing the growth to the demand for an affordable education in the economic downturn. The school reported an enrollment of more than 1,200 students in February.
