Former Morehouse Student Gets Life in Torture Killing Case

Miles Allen, a former Morehouse College student, was sentenced to life in prison  Monday morning.  According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Clayton County Superior Court Judge Deborah Bennefield sentenced Miles Allen to two life sentences plus 70 years for killing Carlnell Walker in July 2006.  On Friday, a jury convicted Allen on 11 of 12 counts including four counts of murder, aggravated assault and kidnapping. Allen is one of four men charged in the murder, which prosecutors say involved eight hours of torture.  The three other men are expected to be tried in the next few weeks.
