Professional Appoitments

DR. JULIETTE BELL has been appointed provost and vice president for academic affairs at Central State University. Most recently, Bell served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Fayetteville State University. Bell earned a bachelor’s degree from Talladega College and a Ph.D. from Atlanta University.

DR. ZENOBIA EDWARDS has been appointed dean of the Metropolitan College at Johnson C. Smith University (N.C.). Edwards was the school partnership manager for College Summit, a nonprofi t college-access organization. Edwards holds a bachelor’s degree from Wofford College, a master’s from Converse College and a doctorate from Nova Southeastern University.

DR. ERIC EVENSON is executive vice president at Argosy University. Evenson formerly served as senior group vice president for the university. He earned a bachelor’s from North Central College, a master’s from Benedictine University and a doctorate from Adler School of Professional Psychology.

RICARDO R. ORTEGÓN has been appointed dean for the School of Continuing Education at Berkeley College, which has campuses in New Jersey and New York. Most recently, Ortegón served as associate vice president for enrollment management at Ramapo College of New Jersey. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas A&M International University.

DR. RAY WANG is dean of the University Library at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He previously served in this role on an interim basis. Wang earned a bachelor’s and master’s from Xi’an Foreign Languages University in China, and a master’s and doctorate from Northern Illinois University.
