Professional Appointments

Mary Alice Browne, chair of the department of radiologic technology and medical imaging at New York City Technical College, has been named a Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society Faculty Scholar for the 2001 International Honors Institute. Browne earned both bachelor's and master's degrees from Hunter College/City University of New York.

Jean Franer Claude has been appointed a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in hospitality management at New York City Technical College. Claude comes to City Tech from the Florida-based Walt Disney Company. Claude earned a bachelor's in hospitality management from City Tech and a master's in international business management from Webster University.

Dr. Kassie Freeman, dean of the Division of Education at Dillard University in New Orleans, is the newly elected president of the Comparative and International Education Society. Freeman earned a bachelor's degree from Tuskegee University, a master's from the University of Tennessee and a doctorate from Emory University.

Nina Wilson Jones has been named director of development at Texas Southern University. Jones joins TSU after a 15-year career in the banking industry. She most recently worked with Bank of America. Jones earned a bachelor's degree from Florida A&M University.

Iris Wilson has been appointed assistant vice president of development at James Madison University in Virginia. Previously she was an assistant professor of business and associate campaign director at Hampton University. Wilson earned both a bachelor's and a master's from the
University of Pittsburgh.

Brenda J. Wright has been appointed vice president for Information Systems and Telecommunications at the Community College of Philadelphia. Wright earned a bachelor's from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a master's of business administration from West Chester University.
