Dr. Kelly  S. Ervin, an assistant professor of comparative American cultures at Washington State University, is the new editor of the Western Journal of Black Studies. The journal is a national publication printed three times a year by the Washington State University press that addresses topics such as religion, medicine, psychology, sociology, and history.  Ervin earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hampton University; a master's in counseling psychology from Bowie State University; and a doctorate in social psychology from Michigan State University.

Shanelle M. Henry is the new coordinator for multicultural education at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. Previously, she was a resident director at Eastern Illinois University. Henry earned a bachelor's degree in education and child study from Smith College (Mass.); and a master's degree in social justice and multicultural education from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

L.D. Lovett is the new assistant dean of the multicultural diversification department at Truckee Meadows Community College in Nevada. He has served in several positions with the college including counselor; director of counseling; director of financial aid, employment, and scholarships; and interim affirmative action officer. Lovett earned a bachelor's degree in industrial arts from Mississippi Valley State University; and master's degrees in education and administration, and higher education from the University of Nevada-Reno.

Dr. Kevin A. Rolle has been named vice president for student affairs at Mississippi Valley State University. He comes to MVSU from Southern University (La.) where he was dean of student life. Rolle earned a bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation, and a master's degree in leisure and recreational services, both from Southern University; and a doctorate in education and human resource studies from Colorado State University.

Calvin Williams Jr. is a new staff writer in the office of public relations at Jackson State University (Miss.).  He was previously employed as a research associate with the university's office of alumni affairs. Williams earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Jackson State University.
