Professional Appointments

Carol Moseley Braun will join the Morris Brown College faculty as a visiting distinguished professor and scholar in residence. She recently served as ambassador to New Zealand and as a Democratic U.S. senator from Illinois from 1992-1998. She earned a bachelor's from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a juris doctorate from the University of Chicago School of Law.

Terry M. Clay has been named assistant dean of student development and success at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland. Most recently, Clay was senior director for academic advising and retention at Anne Arundel. Clay earned a bachelor's in political science from Howard University and a master's in counselor education from Lesley College in Massachusetts.

Dr. Keith D. Parker has been named associate dean of graduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Most recently, he was assistant dean of graduate studies. Parker earned a bachelor's in psychology and sociology from Delta State University and a master's and doctorate in sociology, both from Mississippi State University.

Janice S. Robinson has been named assistant and special counsel to the President of Teachers College at Columbia University. Robinson earned a bachelor's from the University of Bridgeport, two master's degrees from Teachers College at Columbia University and a juris doctorate from St. John's University School of Law.

Dr. Thelma Scott-Skillman is the new president of Folsom Lake College in California. Scott-Skillman has served in four colleges and the California Community College System office. Scott-Skillman earned a bachelor's in psychology and a master's in counseling, both from California State University-Hayward, and a doctorate from Nova Southeastern University.

Malcolm Wilson has been appointed president of Blue River Community College in Kansas City, Mo. Wilson previously was the school's interim president. Wilson earned a bachelor's from Kentucky State University, a master's from Murray State University and is currently working toward a doctorate at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
