Charla Coleman is the new program coordinator in the office of multicultural affairs at American University in Washington. She comes from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where she was a graduate assistant. Coleman earned a bachelor's from the College of William and Mary and a master's from the University of Maryland.

Harriet F. Davis has been appointed director of alumni affairs at North Carolina A&T State University. Davis has worked at A&T since 1979 in a variety of positions. She earned a bachelor's in speech communications with a concentration in public relations and a master's in adult education, both from A&T.

Dr. Remigus Herbert Ihekwaba has been named director of International Education at Texas Woman's University. Previously, he was assistant to the president/administrative intern at Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch, Texas. Ihekwaba earned a bachelor's from Baylor University, a master's from Sul Ross State University and a doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot, author and professor of education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, has been named board chair of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Lawrence-Lightfoot earned a bachelor's from Swarthmore College and a doctorate from Harvard University.

Victor Clark Mullins has been named assistant dean for academic affairs at New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He has held several positions at the university since 1993. Mullins earned a bachelor's from George Mason University and a master's from New York University.

Roy N. Rasheed has been appointed assistant dean of students and director of multicultural affairs at Lander University in South Carolina. Previously, Rasheed was the coordinator of Greek housing at the University of Southern Mississippi. He earned a bachelor's from Valdosta State University and a master's from the University of Southern Mississippi.
