Professional Appointments
Dr. Walter D. Broadnax has been chosen as president-elect of Clark Atlanta University. Broadnax is a former deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under the Clinton administration. Broadnax earned a bachelor’s from Washburn University, a master’s from the University of Kansas and a doctorate from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
Nathaniel Irvin II has been named assistant dean for MBA student development at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Irvin will be adding the new duties to his current position as executive professor of future studies and president of Future Focus 2020. Irvin earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Carolina and a doctorate from the University of North Texas.
Frederick L. McNary recently joined Ohio State University as director of the Center for Learning Excellence. Most recently, McNary was the principal at Mt. Vernon Middle School, an alternative school for at-risk youth in Raleigh, N.C. He earned a bachelor’s, a master’s and an advanced degree certificate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Anthony L. Molina has been appointed president of the newly merged H. Councill Trenholm State Technical College in Montgomery, Ala. He earned an associate’s degree from Epiphany Apostolic College, a bachelor’s from New York University, a master’s from Miami University and a doctorate from Louisiana State University.
Ann Nathan has been named director of development for the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Nathan was a major gifts officer for Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries in Boston. Nathan earned a bachelor’s from the University of Michigan.
Michael C. Taylor has been appointed director of alumni relations at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. Most recently, Taylor was director of admissions at St. Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, Va. He earned a bachelor’s from Lincoln University.
