Conference on Digital Inclusion Targets MSIs
CELEBRATION, Fla.
The Association of Computer and Information Science and Engineering Departments at Minority Institutions (ADMI), in association with Stetson University’s Institute for the Study of Digital Inclusion, will explore collaborations between major research institutions, industry and minority institutions at its annual conference and symposium devoted to computing issues relevant to minority students, education and institutions.
The conference/symposium, which draws faculty, administrators, students and others interested in information technology, will be held May 30-June 2 in central Florida.
On the first day of the proceedings, the Digital Inclusion Symposium 2002 gets under way. Dr. Frederick Humphries, president and CEO of the National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education, is slated to be the keynote speaker of the daylong symposium. The symposium will be held at the Radisson Resort Parkway in Orlando. The conference will be held at the campus of Stetson University’s Center in Celebration.
The mission of the Institute for the Study of Digital Inclusion, which sponsors the symposium, is to promote the use of effective and affordable technology among all communities with the goal of enhancing quality of life.
