About University of Maryland, College ParkThe University of Maryland, College Park is a public research university, the flagship campus of the University System of Maryland, and the original 1862 land-grant institution in Maryland. The university enrolls more than 34,000 students and offers a wide range of bachelor’s, master’s, professional and doctoral degrees. And in some disciplines and interdisciplinary areas as well, the university offers undergraduate and graduate certificates and citations.
