Enhanced GMAC.com Serves as Business School Resource
By Ronald Roach

MCLEAN, Va.

Want to know the average MBA's starting salary? (Answer: $75,000). What's the percentage of women enrolled in full-time MBA programs at the nation's top-tier business schools? (Answer: 30 percent).

Having recently undergone a redesign, the Web site, GMAC.com, provides answers to the questions that business school professionals may have. The Graduate Management Admission Council has redesigned the site, adding new features and enhanced navigational tools. It's now easier than ever for business school professionals to find the statistics and information they need for program planning or for reporters to locate the latest MBA survey results and business education trends.

The site also provides linkage to mba.com, a new site tailored to the needs of prospective MBAs. People considering a graduate business degree will find guidance there in everything from determining whether an MBA would help them in achieving their personal and professional goals to selecting the program that's best suited for them.

GMAC.com provides detailed information about conferences and related links, MBA Forums, industry-related events and professional development opportunities. The Web site posts results from the latest surveys of prospective MBAs, which offer insight into candidates, including their values, motivations and demographics.

At GMAC.com, schools can at no cost post their recruitment events on an online calendar, where students can search for them by location, date, and school on their site at mba.com. An area of current "industry" news presents announcements of promotions and new appointments of industry personnel.

GMAC is a not-for-profit education organization of leading graduate business schools worldwide, dedicated to creating access to and disseminating information about graduate management education. The organization produces the GMAT, which is used as part of the admissions process by graduate management programs around the world.
