Professional Appointments

Dr. Paul E. Bibbins Jr. has been appointed dean of the campus, chief academic and administrative officer at Ohio University Eastern. Previously, he was dean of the college of arts and sciences at Kentucky State University. He earned bachelor's and master's from Virginia State University and a doctorate in biomedical sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School/Old Dominion University.

Arlene W. Clinkscale has been appointed to serve on the board of trustees for SUNY (State University of New York) Rockland Community College. She has a long career in education in both K-12 and as an adjunct professor at the City University of New York. She earned a bachelor's from Hampton University, and a master's and professional diploma from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Susan Hester has been named associate vice chancellor for institutional advancement at North Carolina Central University. Hester has more than 10 years experience in fund raising, sales and marketing. She received her bachelor's in business administration from North Carolina A&T State University and her master of public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Roderick J. McDavis has been appointed president of Ohio University, effective July 1. McDavis is provost and vice president for academic affairs and professor of education at Virginia Commonwealth University. He earned his bachelor's from Ohio University, master's from the University of Dayton and a doctorate in counselor education and higher education administration from the University of Toledo.

E. Ramone Segree has been named vice president for university advancement at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Segree comes to Roger Williams from Miami, where he operated his own consulting firm, Segree Associates. He earned a bachelor's from California University of Pennsylvania and a master's in community psychology and organizational development from Pennsylvania State University.
