Dr. Dennis E. Daniels has been named director of the Undergraduate Medical Academy at Prairie View A&M University and at the College of Medicine at Texas A&M University. Previously, he was deputy director with the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness in Atlanta. Daniels earned a bachelor's from the University of Texas at Austin, and master's and doctoral degrees from the UT School of Public Health at Houston.
Dr. Patricia Pierce-RamSey has been named provost and vice president of academic affairs at Bowie State University in Maryland. Previously, she was vice president of academic affairs at Shaw University in North Carolina. She earned a bachelor's in biology education from Norfolk State University, master's degrees in biology from both Howard University and Harvard University, and a doctorate in biology from Georgetown University.
Dr. Mary Evans Sias has been named president of Kentucky State University. Prior to joining Kentucky State, Sias served as senior vice president for student affairs and external relations at the University of Texas at Dallas. She earned a bachelor's from Tougaloo College and an MBA from Abilene Christian College. She also earned a master's and a doctorate in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dr. Artie L. Travis has been named vice chancellor for student affairs at Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina. Previously, he served as vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Illinois University and a doctorate in education from the University of South Carolina.
Tiffany Verrett has been named assistant director of residential life at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. Previously, she was director of multicultural student services at Auburn University in Alabama. Verrett earned a bachelor's from Troy State University in Alabama and a master's in college student personnel from the University of Southern Mississippi.
