Professional Appointments

Dr. Cheryl Harrison has been appointed executive director of organizational leadership programs in the College of Professional Studies at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. She earned a bachelor's from the University of Southern California and master's degrees from Boston and Harvard universities. She also earned a doctorate from Harvard University.

Marilyn T. Jackson has been appointed executive director of the Atlanta University Center Consortium, making her the first woman to hold the position. Jackson earned a bachelor's from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a master's from the State University of New York at Brockport.

Sherraine McLean has been named director of the Shugart's Women's Center at Forsyth Tech Community College in North Carolina. She has been acting as interim director of the women's center since June 2003. McLean earned a bachelor's from North Carolina Central University and a master's from North Carolina A&T State University.

Dr. Horace Mitchell was named the fourth president of California State University, Bakersfield. Mitchell has been the vice chancellor for business and administrative services at UC-Berkley since 1995. He earned a bachelor's, a master's and a doctorate all from Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Charles "Randy" Nichols has been named dean for online studies for the entire Sullivan University System in Kentucky. Previously he was associate dean for online studies at Sullivan University. Nichols earned a bachelor's from Kentucky State University and a master's and doctorate from the Union Institute and University.

Dr. Teresa J. Williams has been named vice president and dean for student life at Olivet College. Currently she serves as associate dean of the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond. Williams earned a bachelor's from Washington University in St. Louis, a master's from Webster University and a doctorate from Saint Louis University.
