Rita Ali has been named the director of diversity at Illinois Central College in East Peoria. Previously she was manager of AIS Federal Services Group. Ali received a bachelor's in human services management from the University of Illinois-Springfield and a master's in education administration from Bradley University.

Dr. Ainsley Carry has been appointed associate vice president for student affairs/dean of students at Temple University. Previously he served as associate dean of students at the University of Arkansas. Carry received a bachelor's in food and resource economics, a master's in counselor education and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Florida.

Dr. Vanessa Northington Gamble is the new director of the Tuskegee University National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care. Previously she was associate professor of health policy and management at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Gamble earned a bachelor's in medical sociology and human biology from Hampshire College; and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.

Gerald Hector has been named vice president of finance at Johnson C. Smith University. Previously he served as financial controller at the United Negro College Fund. Hector received a bachelor's in business administration from Howard University and is a certified public accountant.

H. Wade Johnson has been named the new director of bands at Delaware State University. Most recently, he toured as a trumpet and percussion player with the Fred Wesley Jazz/Funk Band. Johnson earned a bachelor's in instrumental music, a master's in secondary counseling from South Carolina State College and a master's of music jazz education/ performance from Vandercook College of Music

Wenona Y. Whitfield has been named the new associate dean for academic affairs at Southern Illinois University School of Law. She is also an associate professor at the law school. Whitfield received a bachelor's in sociology from Illinois Wesleyan University and a law degree from SIU's School of Law.
