Bobby Williams has been named the new head football coach at Michigan State University. Williams has been on the coaching staff at Michigan State for 10 years, most recently as associate head coach and running back coach. Williams holds a bachelor's degree in general management from Purdue University.
Dr. Carolyn W. Meyers is the new interim vice chancellor for academic affairs at North Carolina A&T State University. She is currently a program officer for the National Science Foundation. Meyers holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Howard University and a master's and a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Stephanie Bell-Rose has been named president of the of the Goldman Sachs Foundation. The foundation will focus on education with a special emphasis on promoting educational excellence. Previously, Bell-Rose was with the Mellon Foundation. She holds a bachelor's from Harvard/Radcliffe in government, a masters in public policy from Harvard University and a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School.
Dr. William B. DeLauder, president of Delaware State University, was recently presented the distinguished Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund Education Leadership Award at the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund annual awards dinner in New York City. The award recognizes leaders for providing educational and professional opportunities for student attending historically Black colleges and universities. DeLauder holds a bachelor's of science from Morgan State University and a doctorate in physical chemistry from Wayne State University.
