The Rev. Robert N. Andrews II has been appointed director of the Annual Fund for North Carolina Central University's Office of Institutional Advancement. He was formerly with Howard University's School of Divinity. Andrews earned a bachelor's from North Carolina A&T State University and a master's of divinity from Howard University.

Okwui Enwezor has been appointed dean of academic affairs at the San Francisco Art Institute effective in July. He has been a prolific writer, publisher and curator. He is co-editor of Reading the Contemporary: African Art from Theory to the Marketplace. Enwezor received a bachelor's degree from Jersey City State College.

Levon Kirkland has been named coordinator of minority recruitment initiatives at Clemson University in South Carolina. He was the Pittsburgh Steelers' second-round draft pick in 1992 and finished his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2002. Kirkland earned a bachelor's from Clemson where he was named Most Valuable Player in the 1989 Mazda Gator Bowl and a finalist for the 1990 Butkus Award.

Dr. Dwyane Smith has been named assistant vice president of academic affairs for retention at Avila University in Kansas City, Mo. Previously he served as the associate vice president for enrollment management at Park University. Smith earned a bachelor's and master's from Truman State University and a doctorate from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Dr. Ted Williams has been named associate vice president for diversity and equal opportunity at the University of South Florida. He earned a bachelor's from Edward Waters College; a master's from the University of Miami; a master's from Atlanta University; and a doctorate from Cornell University.

Dr. Calvin Woodland has been named president of Capital Community College in Hartford, Conn. Most recently, he was the vice president for student services at Bergen Community College. Woodland earned a bachelor's from Morgan State University; a master's from Howard University; and doctoral degrees from Rutgers University and Southern California University of Professional Studies.
