Sherre Miller Bishop has been named director of public relations at Tennessee State University. Previously she served as office manager of the NAACP-Nashville branch. Bishop received bachelor's and master's degrees from Tennessee State University and American Baptist College.

Kevin Carreathers is the new assistant to the vice president for academic affairs for institutional diversity at Salisbury University in Maryland. At Texas A&M University, he served as director of the department of multicultural services and co-founder of the Diversity Education Institute. Carreathers earned a bachelor's from North Texas State University and a master's from Prairie View A&M University. 

Julius L. Chambers has been appointed the Charles Hamilton Houston Distinguished Professor of Law in constitutional and civil rights law at North Carolina Central University's School of Law for the spring semester. Chambers earned a bachelor's from NCCU and a juris doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.

The Rev. Dr. Clifford C. Coles Sr. has been named Episcopal Vicar and chapel rector for Saint Augustine's College in North Carolina. He received a bachelor's from Shaw University, a master's from Columbia University and a doctorate from North Carolina State University.

Tracey J. Hunter Hayes has been appointed director of alumni relations at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. He has served as a university trustee and as president of the university's Philadelphia alumni chapter. Hayes earned a bachelor's from Lincoln University and master's degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Virginia Union University.

Anthony L. Holloman has been appointed associate vice president for major gifts and planned giving in the Office of University Advancement at Tuskegee University in Alabama. Previously, he was assistant vice president for development at Tennessee State University. Holloman earned a bachelor's from Johnson C. Smith University.
