  • More than 22 million or 11 percent of adults age 18 and older have iPods/MP3 players.

  • Men are more likely than women to have iPods/MP3 players — 14 percent men, 9 percent women.

  • Almost one in five (19 percent) of those under age 30 have iPods/MP3 players — 14 percent of those aged 30-39 have them — 14 percent of those aged 40-48 have them.

  • In households earning more than $75,000, 24 percent have them — in households earning $30,000-$75,000, 10 percent own them — and 6 percent of those in households earning less than $30,000 have them.

  • Internet users are four times more likely to have iPods/MP3 players than non-Internet users — 15 percent Internet users vs. 4 percent non-Internet users own them. Internet users with six years or more of Internet experience are twice as likely than those with less than three years Internet experience to own an iPod/MP3 player.

  • Some 23 percent of those with broadband at home have iPods/MP3 players — 9 percent with dialup connections have them — 31 percent withbroadband at home and work own them.

  • 16 percent of parents living with children under 18 in their home have them — 9 percent with no children at home own them.
