Technology Tour Coming To Campuses

Technology Tour Coming To Campuses

ARLINGTON, Va.
College students will have a chance to try out the latest consumer electronics products and technologies during the Fall 2005 TechKnowOverload Tour, now in its fifth year.

Organized by the Consumer Electronics Association, the tour visits 24 college and university campuses during the fall semester. With two new locations scheduled this year, the TKO Tour travels for the first time to college festivals in Boston and Philadelphia.

“College students are tuned in to the consumer electronics industry,” says CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro. “Participating consumer electronics companies are able to showcase their products directly before the digital generation’s college consumers, and those students in turn are able to interact with the latest products designed to enhance their busy lives.”

The fall TKO Tour wraps up in early November. On average, 1,500 students attend each tour stop, reaching more than 60,000 students each season. For more information, go to <www.tkotour.com>.
