LAS CRUCES N.M. — The upheaval in the New Mexico State University administration continues.
Executive Vice President and Provost Wendy Wilkins told the Albuquerque Journal (https://bit.ly/SMMI6x) Tuesday that she is resigning from her position.
Her resignation comes less than six weeks after President Barbara Couture stepped down from her post in what the chairman of the Board of Regents described as a mutually acceptable separation.
Before accepting the position at NMSU in May 2010, Wilkins had been employed as provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of North Texas since 2007.
Prior to that, she was dean of the College of Arts and Letters at Michigan State University for six years.
