Professional Appointments

Dr. Kishi Animashaun has been named assistant professor in the department of African-American studies at Syracuse University. She received a bachelor’s from Tulane University, a master’s from the City University of New York, a master’s from the University of Maryland and a doctorate from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Pamela Christian has been named associate provost at Azusa Pacific University. Most recently she served as director of the McNair Scholars Program at California State University, San Bernardino. Christian earned a bachelor’s from Seton Hall University, a master’s from CSU, San Bernardino and a doctorate from Claremont Graduate University.

Dr. Bobbie Green is the new director of the master’s of business administration program at New Mexico State University’s College of Business. She has been a member of the faculty in accounting and business computer systems since 2004. She earned a bachelor’s from the University of Southern California, a master’s from City University in Seattle and a doctorate from Seattle University.

Dr. Claudia Highbaugh has been named dean of religious and spiritual life at Connecticut College. Most recently, she was a member of the faculty at Harvard Divinity School, where she served previously as chaplain and associate director of ministerial studies. Highbaugh earned a bachelor’s from Hiram College and a master of divinity and doctor of divinity degrees at the Claremont School of Theology.

Daphine McMichael has been appointed director of academic personnel services at North Carolina Central University. She previously served as assistant director of human resources at the university. McMichael earned a bachelor’s from NCCU and a master’s from Chapman University.

Yvonne Ortiz-Prince has been named dean of student affairs at Huston-Tillotson University. Most recently she served as assistant dean for campus life at Emory University. She earned a bachelor’s from New York University and a master’s from Rutgers University.
