Diverse: Issues In Higher Education Magazine Profiles 10 Rising Stars in the Academy

FAIRFAX, VA., January 12, 2006Diverse Issues is kicking off the new year recognizing young scholars from around the nation who are making their mark in the academy. In the January 12, 2006, edition, Diverse Issues
profiles 10 scholars in disciplines from neurobiology to anthropology
who are changing the face of the academy and serve as an inspiration to
both students and colleagues.

Diverse is recognizing each scholar for doing innovative
research in their chosen field of study, teaching and for reaching out
to shape the next generation of scholars. In what has become one of our
most popular editions of the year, the editors of the magazine select
from a number of candidates who are recommended by other scholars in
