The University of Colorado at Boulder has received a two-year, $220,000 grant from the National Science Foundation. The money will help provide need-based financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Engineering and Applied Science and the mathematics and applied mathematics departments.
The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey has received an anonymous gift of $1.25 million that has been used to create an endowed professorship of developmental biology for the Child Health Institute of New Jersey.
Winston-Salem State University has received $100,000 from the Tom Joyner Foundation that will be used for student scholarships based on achievement and need.
