Dr. Beth E. Barnett has been appointed provost of Ramapo College of New Jersey. She was most recently provost and vice president of academic affairs at the University of Scranton. Barnett holds a bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania and two masters’ and a doctorate from Columbia University.
Dr. Joseph Barba has been appointed dean of the Grove School of Engineering at the City College of New York. He had served as acting dean at the university since 2004. Barba earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from CCNY and a doctorate from the City University of New York.
Sheila Carter has been named executive director of the office of multicultural affairs at Columbia College Chicago. She had previously been the director of student activities at the college. Carter earned a bachelor’s from Arizona State University.
Rev. Lawrence J. Clark has been appointed executive director of the Lutheran Theological Center in Atlanta. Most recently, he was associate to the Bishop of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Clark earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from San Francisco State University and another master’s from Trinity Seminary.
Dr. Leonard J. Everett has been appointed associate dean of college preparatory education at Central Florida Community College. Everett holds a bachelor’s from Florida State University, a master’s from Troy State University and a doctorate from Florida A&M University.
Dr. Timothy Holley has been appointed director of North Carolina Central University’s Honors Program. He is currently an assistant professor of music at the university. Holley received his bachelor’s from Baldwin-Wallace College and a master’s and doctorate from the University of Michigan.
