Dr. Larry L. Earvin has been named the fifth president of Huston-Tillotson College in Austin, Texas. Earvin's career in higher education spans 26 years at Clark Atlanta University, where he served as dean of arts and sciences and also as a senior staff member in the office of the provost/vice president for academic affairs. Earvin earned a bachelor's in business administration from Clark Atlanta University, a master's in urban administration and planning from Georgia State University and a doctorate in American Studies from Emory University.

Richard Bazile is the new systems librarian for Barry University in Miami, Fla.  Bazile is a former systems librarian for the City Colleges of Chicago and most recently served as applications administrator for the American Institute of Architects.  He holds a bachelor's in history from DePaul University, a master's in history from Chicago State University and an additional master's in library and information science from the University of Illinois.

Danneal L. Jones has been named coordinator of multicultural recruitment at the University of New Orleans.  Jones comes to UNO from Xavier University of Lousiana, where she was assistant to the director in the office of graduate placement. She earned a bachelor's from Fisk University and a master's in counseling from Xavier University.

Kenneth Rozier is the newly appointed director of alumni affairs at Florida A&M University.  Previously he was director of development and internship director in FAMU's  School of Business. Most recently he was a private sector development officer for Central State University. Rozier earned a bachelor's from Florida A&M University and a master's from Florida State University.

Karl Turner has been promoted to the position of vice president for institutional advancement at Xavier University in New Orleans. Most recently he was associate vice president for development. Turner earned a bachelor's in political science and philosophy from Fisk University and a master's in intercommerce from the University of Kentucky.
