Cal State Faculty Union Approves Pay Deal

LOS ANGELES ― The union representing California State University faculty has approved a three-year contract that includes a pay raise.

The Sacramento Bee reports that the California Faculty Association announced Tuesday that its members had voted to ratify the agreement, which provides a 3 percent increase to the base compensation pool.

Salary and benefits negotiations could be reopened for years two and three of the contract.

The deal will be taken up for approval by the CSU Board of Trustees during its meeting this week.

The faculty union represents more than 23,000 Cal State professors, lecturers, librarians, counselors and coaches.
