Dr. Adena Williams Loston has been appointed president of St. Philips College (Texas). She had most recently been director of education for the Goddard Space Flight Center’s Virginia facility. Loston earned a bachelor’s from Alcorn State University and a master’s and doctorate from Bowling Green State University.

Dr. Miriam Feldblum has been appointed vice president and dean of students at Pomona College (Calif.). She was most recently senior director for academic support and planning at the California Institute of Technology. Feldblum earned a bachelor’s from Barnard College and two master’s and a doctorate from Yale University.

Rudy Fernandez has been named vice president for government affairs at the University of Miami (Fla.). He was most recently special assistant to President George Bush in the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. Fernandez earned a bachelor’s from Harvard University.

Nydia Gonzalez has been appointed chief diversity officer at Yale University (Conn.). She was most recently the director of diversity programs at the University of Texas’s M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s from the University of North Texas.

Constance Gregory has been named director of the Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Center at Syracuse University (N.Y.). She is the founder of Rochon Gregory Associates. Gregory earned an associate degree from Cazenovia College and bachelor’s and law degrees from Syracuse.

Dr. Eugene Henderson Jr. has been appointed vice president of student development at Rockland Community College (N.Y.). He was most recently dean of academic student services at Nassau Community College. Henderson holds a bachelor’s from Saginaw Valley State University and a master’s and doctorate from Michigan State University.
