EVELYN-THOMPSONEVELYN MARIA THOMPSON has been appointed president of Coppin State University, effective July 1. She is currently provost and vice president for academic affairs at the State University of New York College at Oneonta. Thompson earned a bachelor’s from Tennessee State University, a master’s from The Ohio State University and a doctorate from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
