Southern University (La.) has received a $253,478 grant from the Louisiana Department of Social Services to host a summer abstinence program entitled ”Empowering Youth Choices: Southern University’s Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program.”
The University of California, San Diego has received a $100,000 gift from the Taiwanese American Foundation of San Diego to support the university’s Taiwan studies initiative, one of only a few in the country. The gift is the foundation’s second such donation to the program.
The University of Chicago has received a $100 million gift from an anonymous alumni donor. The gift will be used to provide financial aid to low- and moderate-income students.
