Teddie Laing,
a program director for Miami-Dade Community College's Mortgage Finance Program, was recently awarded the Distinguished Service Award for 1999-2000. Laing also received the 2000 Fair Housing Award for work with the Housing Opportunities Project for Excellence, Inc. She holds a bachelor's in political science from Rutgers University and a master's in human services and administration from Rider University.
