NEW ORLEANS ― A University of New Orleans search committee will hold interviews Wednesday through Friday with candidates to lead the school.

The committee will choose at least two finalists on Friday and University of Louisiana System supervisors expect to choose a president next week.

Deputy New Orleans Mayor Andrew Kopplin and UNO provost and academic affairs vice president John Nicklow are among semifinalists.

Others include Glen Cope, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Missouri-St. Louis; Jaimie Hebert, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Sam Houston State University; and John Valery White, strategic adviser to the president at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Interviews will be public, with each candidate meeting with students, faculty, staff and others.
