Brandi P. Jones has been appointed assistant dean of students for community life at Occidental College (Calif.). She had been director of minority student education at the California Institute of Technology. Jones earned a bachelor’s from San Jose State University and a master’s from California State University-Long Beach.

 

Dr. Dwight A. McBride has been named dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He holds a bachelor’s from Princeton University and a master’s and doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles.

 

Dr. Kenneth St. Charles has been appointed vice president for institutional advancement at Xavier University of Louisiana. He had most recently been associate vice president for strategic initiatives at the university. St. Charles earned a bachelor’s from Loyola University and an MBA and doctorate from the University of New Orleans.
