Professional Appointments

Lee Hampton is the new executive director of corporate and foundation development at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Previously Hampton was the vice chancellor for university advancement at Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina. Hampton earned a bachelor's in English from Dillard University and a master's in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wisconsin.

Dr. James R. Kitchen has been appointed vice president of student affairs at San Diego State University. Kitchen is joining SDSU from the University of Kansas, where he was associate vice chancellor of student affairs and dean of students. Kitchen earned bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Eastern Illinois University and a doctorate in education from Northern Arizona University.

Dr. Quincy Moore, executive director of the Academic Success Center at Virginia Commonwealth University, has been selected to serve as a trustee on the board of the American Counseling Association Foundation. Moore earned a bachelor's degree from
Culver-Stockton College, a master's from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a doctorate  from the University of Iowa.
Bernadette A. Smith has been elected chairwoman of the board of trustees at Audrey Cohen College in New York. Now in private practice, she previously had been assistant district attorney in Bronx, N.Y. Smith earned a bachelor's from Audrey Cohen College and a juris doctorate from The Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College.

Dr. Bryan Tippett has been appointed dean of instruction at Estrella Mountain
Community College in Arizona. Previously he was senior associate dean of instruction for mathematics, science and physical education at  Mesa Community College. Tippett earned a bachelor's degree from Gannon University, a master's from Duquesne University and a doctorate from the University of Sarasota.

Juan Vianney Mosquera has been named associate director of multicultural and international admissions at Alma College in Michigan. Mosquera earned a bachelor's from Universidad Lobre de Colombia, a master's from Instituto Caro y Cuervo, Bogota, and a second master's in educational communication and instructional design technology and administration from Southern University.   n
