Dr. Gail C. Christopher has been named executive director of the Innovations in American Government program at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. Christopher earned a bachelor's and medical degree from Chicago's National College of Naprapathy and a doctorate from Union Graduate School.

Dr. Steven Edmond has been appointed visiting professor of international business and entrepreneurship at Tec de Monterrey State of Mexico University. A
professor at Clark Atlanta University, he earned a bachelor's from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a master's from Texas Southern University and a
doctorate from the University of Sarasota.

Dr. Alfred Johnson has been selected to be director of the Undergraduate Scholarship Program at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. Johnson earned a bachelor's in chemistry from Albany State University and a doctorate in biomedical sciences from the University of Tennessee.
Terry A. Lindsay has been named associate vice president and dean of student life at Iowa Wesleyan College. Lindsay also will be an assistant professor of education. Lindsay earned bachelor's degrees in African American studies and English and a master's in higher education, all from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Dr. Robert E. Millette is the new director of the Global Studies Institute at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.
Previously, he was chairman of the
sociology/anthropology department.
Millette earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from Brooklyn College and master's and doctorate degrees from the New School for Social Research.

Dr. Cornel West has been promoted to university professor, a title held by only 14 of the 2,200 faculty members at Harvard University. West is a professor of religion and Afro-American Studies. West earned a bachelor's magna cum laude from Harvard University and a master's and doctorate from Princeton University.
