Students say they would like to see more security on campus at Rowan University after a classmate was killed in an apparent robbery near campus.
More than 1,000 students attended a meeting with university officials Monday, less than two days after Donnie Farrell was beaten to death. Many said they want the university to do more to keep them safe.
University President Donald Farish says security has been improved in recent years. He says that the attack of Farrell was an isolated incident and it was so fast that no amount of security would have stopped it.
Still, more patrols are being added.
Authorities are looking for suspects in the crime.
