SUGHRA AHMED has been named associate dean for religious life at Stanford University. She previously held a fellowship at Yale University and was a research associate at Cambridge University and St. Edmund’s College. She also served as president of the Islamic Society of Britain. She earned an undergraduate degree in English language and literature from Birmingham City University and a master’s degree in Islamic studies from Loughborough University.
