Student Graduation Rate at the University of Arizona Falls Lower

by Associated Press , October 31, 2007

TUCSON Ariz.

A new report shows 63 percent of the University of Arizona student-athletes who enrolled in the 2000-01 school year graduated within six years.

That’s according to the Graduation Success Rate report released by the NCAA Tuesday.

The numbers are two percentage points below the UA’s score at this time last year.

The report listed the schools’ aggregate graduation rates and broke down the percentages by race and gender.

An Oct. 3 report showed that the UA football and men’s basketball teams had the worst graduation rate in the Pac-10, according to the GSR criteria.
