Rhonda WilliamsRHONDA Y. WILLIAMS has been named inaugural holder of the John L. Seigenthaler Chair in American History at Vanderbilt University. She previously was a professor of history and founder and director of the Social Justice Institute at Case Western Reserve University. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
