Professional Appoitments

DR. DONNA H. OLIVER is the president of Mississippi Valley State University. Oliver previously served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Edward Waters College. Oliver earned a bachelor’s from Elon College and a master’s and doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

DR. LAURA BARRETT has been named dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Armstrong Atlantic State University (Ga.). She was chair of Fine Arts, Humanities and Selected Social Sciences at Florida Atlantic University. Barrett earned a bachelor’s from Long Island University, a master’s from Columbia University and a doctorate from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

DR. THOMAS A. ISEKENEGBE has been appointed interim president at Cumberland County College (N.J.). He previously served as vice president of academic affairs and enrollment services at the college. Isekenegbe earned a bachelor’s from the University of Nigeria and a master’s and Ed.S. and doctorate from Indiana State University.

TYJAUN LEE has been named vice president for student services at Prince George’s County Community College (Md.). Lee previously served as associate vice president for enrollment management and student services at Tidewater Community College.

DR. FREDRIK LOGEVALL has been appointed director of Cornell University’s (N.Y.) Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies. Logevall also serves as the John S. Knight Professor of International Studies. He earned a bachelor’s from Simon Fraser University and a doctorate from Yale University.
