Kevyn Perkins, an 18-year-old Chicago native told the Pioneer Press that he was upset and immediately scrubbed the words away, but did not photograph them.

Aaron Macke, associate dean of students and director of residence life, condemned the act in an email to Brady Hall students.

St. Thomas President Dr. Julie Sullivan said in a statement released Sunday that racism would not be tolerated at the school. Karen Lang, the university’s vice president of student affairs, told the newspaper in an email that the incident is under investigation.
